I have often heard the statement, “No way can I write an article,” when suggesting Article Writing as a home business venture . I have yet to meet anyone living, who does not have a lifetime of topics.
Many of you are parents, most everyone has had some sort of job, gone on some kind of a trip, had some good times, and bad times, failed and succeeded, and the list goes on and on. We all have a life filled with topics! Listen to how often you hear people talking about their life experiences, telling their life story.
There is a market for everything. The best way to begin to realize all that we have to write about is to brainstorm. Not a new term, but a very useful tool. Brainstorming is simply taking a piece of paper and pen, and breaking down our life stories. Trips you have taken, hobbies you have, jobs you have held, can all be your main topics.
Then underneath each main topic right down the specifics. Now you are beginning to form some content. As you continue brainstorming you will find lots of information coming forward, and a story has begun. You are now on your way to creating an article. Remember everything you have ever done or experienced in your life, is a potential topic, if you are a backyard mechanic write how to repair cars, ‘how to articles’ are very popular, if your hobby is photography, birdwatching, skiing, bowling, painting, whatever it may be, these are all popular topics. Use your failures and your successes too. Everything is potential article material.
“Okay, I now see I have things to write about, but who would publish my articles, let alone pay me, and why?” Many companies pay for articles to promote their business or product, or service. It could be a Travel Agency, A Photography Studio,etc. All kinds of businesses need articles for all kinds of topics.
